Cant set up home network

I have a home-network with two computers, one has two network cards and one
computer connects to the internet through the first computer. But today the
network just died, for no special reason.

I tried setting it up again both manual and with the installer. But i still
dont get a network, im not even able to connect to the other computer
(sharing folders).
I tried doing "ipconfig /release" and renew on the client computer but it
wont renew, it just shows an error message "Cant connect to the DHCP-Server."

Im out of ideas on how to fix this. It used to work, and theres no damage on
the cable.

Check your firewall as its probably blocking. You might find it easier to
uninstall the firewall from both computers, setup the network then reinstall
and set the firewall up. Sometimes when you just disable them they can still
block. Also check your antivirus program as worm blocking can also block
networks. Can you still connect to the internet through the first computer?
