can't set scheduled tasks

just got a new dell dimension 8400
running winxp pro
single computer - not attached to a network (other than the internet)

can't set up a scheduled task
get an error message - access denied - do not have permission to perform
requested operation
0x8007005

so, how do I give myself permission to do this - I am already the
administrator on this computer

have already done a repair/reinstall - didn't fix anything
