Hi,hopefully someone can help me here.I've been using windows mail for
months with no problems but now I can't send or receive emails.I
haven't changed anything in my settings and accounts but every time I try to
send /receive mail the user id/ Password window pops up. And finally have to
give up as it doesn't logged on.
Can anyone suggest about how to solve this problem? Is it some way possible
to un install & reinstall the windows mail so that the problem can be
solved.know what I should do to restore normal service?

Many thanks.

Can you log in to that account via the web?

If so, which antivirus are you using?
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee
and Norton security programs. Those will need to be
uninstalled, not just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see

If after uninstalling your antivirus, the problem with Windows
Mail persists, delete that corrupted mail account, restart
Windows Mail, then recreate that account.
