Can't see banners on my computer

G

Gabriel

I have created a website that has a "links" page where I
feature different banners. When I create the pages
in "Front Page" and preview them I can see the banners.
When I view them online in Explorer 6 I can't see them.
Does it have anything to do with my security settings,
cookies, etc.? I also have Mcaffee installed. Thanks

Gabriel,

It might be your HOSTS file, security settings or due to a WebFilter/Firewall installed. If you have SpyBot S&D installed, the HOSTS file will contain all the AD servers list and you can't see the ADs in browser.

I don't have SpyBot installed. How do I check or alter
the HOSTS file? How do I fix this?

The HOSTS is located at:
C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc

The default HOSTS file is about 1 Kb. Default HOSTS file will not block the banners.

Next, check the security settings and disable WebFilters/ firewall [only for testing purpose]
