can't save document

I have a document where I can only "save, print, send, or close." I can't
save, save as, etc. It does happen to be in compatibility mode, but most of
my documents have been in this mode and I've never had this problem before.
 
You're saying that the Office Button menu has buttons only for Save, Print,
Send, and Close and does not have ones for Save As, Prepare, etc.?
 
Is this a trial version that has expired? Or a retail version that hasn't
been activated?
