Can't run PC-CD games..I'm a newbie..please help

Can someone please, please help me. I was doing some clean-up on my niece's
computer using spybot, adawere, HJT. I have done something that has caused
the computer to do longer be used for her PC-CD games. When trying to play
"Where in the World....Santiago from the Learning Company you can't click on
"start". Clicking on install/uninstall takes you through a process that
always ends with a small box with a red X stating "error while opening
registry key". If I go into the hard drive, program files, The Learning
Company, I get the same thing. What have I done and how do I fix this for
her? It's not just this CD, but all of them now, and they all worked before.
Please help. Thanks
