I burned several dozen TIFF's to a CD on my computer
using Windows 2000. Sometimes my drive can read the
files, the next time it will show a disk with NO remaing
disk space, yet NO files stored on the disk.

When I took the CD to a computer running Windows ME I
could see the files, but it ran REALLY slowly.

When I took the CD to a compute running Windows XP, it
shows NO disk space and No files.

What am I doing wrong?

Writing to a CD-RW disc?

CD-RW's cannot be natively read without
additional software installed.

Or, more likely, you have a bad disc.

Burn it again, don't use no name media, and finalize
it to ensure the utmost compatibility with a diverse
mixture of CD drives.

This sounds like a problem with your CD burner. You
probably have to replace it.

Also, try burning at a lower speed. Try the slowest speed. If the resulting
CD is still bad/intermittant, then your CD burner is probably bad.
