I can't get an image as my desktop bkgrnd. I go to Display, and I just can't
choose any of the background options, I can only choose a solid background
colour... Please help, I really hate a blank screen. I've tried right
clicking images and setting them as my background, but they don't appear on
my desktop...

Click Start, Run and type Regedit.exe
Navigate to the keys one by one:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
-and-
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
Backup the keys to a REG file
Delete the values "Wallpaper" and "WallPaperStyle" in the right-pane.
Close Regedit.exe
