Background Troubles

For some reason i can't seem to change my desktop background by right
clicking and going to desktop or by simply going directly to the image and
selecting "set as desktop background". Any suggestions on how to fix this
would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Deschain,

Click Start, Run and type Regedit.exe
Navigate to the following branch:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ActiveDesktop]

-and-

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ActiveDesktop]

In the right-pane, delete the value named "NoChangingWallPaper"

Close Regedit.exe and restart Windows.

Note that if the Policy "Active Desktop Wallpaper" is enabled, same symptoms
are seen.
