Since I switched computers, I have never been able to publish by selecting
FrontPage or Sharepoint Services and entering
http://www.rosweed.com in
Remote Web Site Properties. All I get is the error message mentioned
previously. I don't even get to the password step.
I can publish by selecting FTP.

You said in the start of this thread you did that w/o any problem in FP by using
File Open Site/Web and entering your URL as
http://www.yoursitenamehere.com/ and logging in
