Can't print in Microsoft

I Can't print in Microsoft document, wordpad or notepad.
Followed troubleshooting- port is fine, all connections,
can do a command prompt and will print email and photos.
Also tried to copy and paste and that didn't work either.
Have a Dell Dimension 4550 with a HP 842C printer. Need
help can't figure out what else to do.

Have already uninstalled and reinstalled driver and still have a problem
