can't play dvd's on media player 9

When I insert a dvd and open it with media player 9 I get
a messege that says "Windows media player cannot play the
video stream because of a problem with your video card".
How can I get the player to work?

Do you have a third party dvd program such as windvd or

powerdvd? They are required.

You don't need a third party DVD player, but you do need a DVD codec.
