When click onto the start menu, and click to "My Documents", "MyComputer",
etc. it is NOT launching. I get the hour glass on the screen temporarily,
but it just reverts back and does not launch me to my target. Hence, I
cannot open folders, etc.

Yes. I can launch all programs, I just can't launch "My Documents", "My
Music", "My Computer" , essentially can't access or open any folders like I
would be able to do via windows explorer. For instance, I'll right click on
the "My Documents" shortcut in the start menu, the hourglass appears and then
nothing happens. It just reverts back. Seems to be getting hung up.....

Thanks.

Have done anything with User accounts like add or delete?

On Start Menu, Select "My Documents", then rt click, Properties
then on "General" tab, look at location.
Is this the same location and Usename as what you have when you use Explorer?

Back again. Thanks for responding. To answer your question, yes, it is this
the same location and Usename as what I have when I use Explorer. Something
else, when I try to burn pictures to a cd, I'll put a blanck cd in my
"E:Drive", in the bottom right corner the bubble will pop up saying I have
files that are ready to be written to the cd, I'll click the bubble, yet
again nothing happens. I've tried everything. I'm unable to launch / manage
documents, unless I'm in an app (e.g., word or excel). Maybe just reload XP,
but that sounds major.

I have a laptop I am trying to repair for a friend and this is the exact
problem I am encountering. Has there been a resolution to this?

No. Still have not resolved this.
