can't load windows

hi, i have windows xp professional, i'm having problems.
when i turn on my computer its fine, but after it shows
that the windows xp is loading, after that, nothing
appears and the monitor either remains blank or tells me
there is no signal. Sometimes it does load but whe it
does, the color resolution is all messed up and i can't
change it. What should i do?

Try checking your monitor settings. For example the refresh rate may be set
too high.

try hitting f8 during the bootup process and choose safe
mode. if you can boot this way then problem is most
likely your video drivers. look for updated drivers for
it or get a better card. also refresh rate may be set
wrong for your monitor

you might try rebooting and holding down the f5 key and

select last known good configuration. you don't lose
information, you'll just may need to reinstall some
programs. save a restore point before installing software.
