Can't load components

I am trying to install IIS on my Gateway laptop, but for some reason the
needed files which are stored on the CD as compressed files (admxprox.dl_
instead of admxprox.dll) are not being recognized by the operating system.
I can't imagine how many of these files there are, so I would prefer not to
have to search them all out somewhere one by one. Can someone point me in
the right direction to get "Add Windows Components" to do its job as it
should know how to do it?

Are you using an original Windows XP CD or a copy?

Those are the compressed versions. But I think most likely this machine
has XP Home Edition. That explicitly does *not* support IIS - that is
one of the Pro only items (so companies pay for the higher priced
product)
