UnableTo Install Microsoft Visual C++.NET (2002) on Windows XP Professional

Hi all,
1)I used Microsoft Visual C++.NET (2002) on my Windows Me
and Windows XP Home Edition for the last one and half
years. 4-5 weeks ago, I upgraded my PC from Windows XP
Home Edition to Windows XP Professional. Recently I tried
to install my Microsoft Visual C++.NET (2002) on the new
Windows XP Professional Operating System and got the
fellowing message:
Microsoft Visual C++.NET Setup
1 Windows Component Update
Setup has detected that some of Windows components
that are installed on your computer do not match the
versions required for Visual C++.NET. You must install a
different version of these Windows components.
It is a surprise to see this message. It is hard to get a
decent help from the Microsoft support. Where can I get
the right version of the Windows components for my
Microsoft Visual C++.NET (2002)? Is my Windows XP
Professional obsolete? Please help and advise me how to
get my Visual C++.NET (2002) installed on my Windows XP
Professional PC.

2) When I used Windows XP Home Edition, I could not do
the ASP.NET, Web Services, etc. via the Microsoft Visual
C++.NET (2002) programming because it did not have the
Internet Information Services (IIS). I was informed
before that the IIS was included in the Windows XP
Professional. It was why I upgraded my PC to Windows XP
Professional. I tried to install IIS and I went to the
Control Panel of my PC => Add/Remove Programs => and
tried to add/install IIS required by the Web Project
Requirements/Microsoft Visual Studio.NET Windows
Component Update, the following dialog box appeared:
File needed
The file 'admxprox.dll' on Windows XP
Professional CD_ROM is needed.
|OK| |Cancel|
Type the path where the file is located
and then click OK.
Copy files from:
| |\/| Browse.
(i) I searched my C:/ drive and I could not find
the 'admxprox.dll' file.
(ii) If I tried to use the Windows XP Professional
UPGRADE CD-ROM disk, it looked it would do the
90-minute upgrading again!!! So I could/can
find the 'admxprox.dll' file.
(iii) I ran C:\Document and Settings>regsvr32
admxprox.dll. I got the following message:
RegSvr32
LoadLibrary("admxprox.dll") failed - The
specified module could not be found.

I am completely lost now. Please help and tell me where
and how I can get the IIS installed.

Thanks in advance,
Scott Chang

The Windows XP CD-ROM is required for IIS installation. You may have to
gently nudge the installer to the correct path; usually the I386 folder in
the CD-ROM. e.g., D:\I386.
