Can't install single version of os.

After delting all partions, formating the hard disk, and
performing a fresh install of Win 2ooo pro using the cd-
rom, a screen comes up offering two versions of the os to
choose from. How can i truely format the hdisk and install
ONE copy of the os?

This is a very common issue. There is most likely not really two different
version installed. The easiest way to check is to try both options during
boot and see which one works. Most likely the top entry is the current one
and the next one is bogus. The file that has this info is called Boot.ini in
the root of your C drive. You can edit out the incorrect entry in there. Be
very careful though to not delete the wrong one. This should take care of
it.
