cant install anything!

i cant install anything try to update xp pro and i get to
the install on computer and it just sits there when i
exit it out it says its waiting for me to do something??
tried to insall some decals for ashrons call and i cant
install any of them either it does about 3/4 and then
just sitts there and does nothing i have turned of my
nortons firewall and anti virus and still no diffrence i
looked threw the help files and tried some of the idia's
but to no luck

Hi Jason,

Suggestions:

Go to Start/Run/Regedit and see what is listed under the key below: Many
have claimed that the culprit is listed there.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Extensions

Go to IE/Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/Uncheck Enable third-party browser
extentions.

If you using any third party download manager, disable or uninstall. If you
are using a Firewall program, check the settings. (Tiny is known for this).
If you using an "Ad" filter program disable it and see if downloads work.
