Can't get to home page...reboots

My computer keeps rebooting. I go to log into Windows XP and after I enter my
password the computer just reboots. It seems like it wants to go my home
page, but can't. I can not down load any patches or fixes from the internet
because of this "loading" problem. I go to the "safe mode", but even that
doesn't work. I clearly have a virus (Sasser) but don't know how to get ride
of it. I have virus protection, but it obviously is not good enough or failed
to work. Can I buy a better product lets say Symantec and try to install
that? Any help would fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated as this
a frustrating problem.

To resolve the issue, uninstalll SP2 and reinstall it.
