XP Constantly Reboots

Hi,
My system just reboots & reboots. It comes up with black screen with SAFE
and other boot options but doesn't matter which option I take, it reboots to
same screen.

I tried XP Repair from CD but it comes up to black screen tells me to type
EXIT and restart. It seems to never go through or seems to go through actual
repair. I can't get to desktop at all to do anything else. Does anyone have a
clue as to what I can do to run some fix or ???

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, this isn't enough information for us to give you focused
help. The problem could be caused by software or hardware.

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: what changed between the time things
worked and the time they didn't?

check to see what hard drive is in your system. Then if you don't have it
all ready download
the diagnostics tool for it and run it.

run a memtest

Do you have a full and complete backup of important data? If not first
thing should be do do that. Install the drive as a slave drive in another
XP computer and copy the important data.

Then do a chkdsk /r on it.
