Can't get Outlook to Backup.

Outlook Backup has worked well in the past. Now, I get an error message that
it can't back up because "another process has locked a portion of the file."
Looked at Task Manager and there isn't anything there except Explorer which
is up and Winfax. If I close Winfax, I still can't make the backup work.
Any ideas. Have Office 2003 Pro, SP1.

Look on the Processes tab.

Veronica,

Check your folder list in Outlook. Be sure that you don't have the file that
you are backing up to open. If you do not, change the filename of your backup
then run the backup utility again.

The file created by the Backup Utility is a PST and if you have it open in
the Folder List, the utility can not overwrite it when performing the backup.

Thanks for your help. I changed the file name.
