Outlook backup problem

I have followed instructions on copying my pst file for backup and transfer
to another computer, but I get the message: Cannot copy outlook. The process
cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the
file"

How do I overcome this?

Ensure all instances of Outlook.exe are not running. Most often, keeping
your PDA or Smartphone connected will keep Outlook open. Also check to see
if you have an Outlook Gadget running in Windows Vista.
