Can't get an old educational game cd to play

K

kidsgameplayer

I recently purchased educational games for kids meant for
Windows 95/98 and the store personnel told me how to make
them compatible but so far I have tried:
- going into properties and setting it to Windows 98
compatibility.
- downloading a recent version of DirectX
but still when I try to play the game my media player
gives me an error message

Anyone have the same problem - any solution?

Media player doesnt run games on xp,although anythings possible,if you R
click on the game icon,is thier a,"open with" and wmp is the choice option
If so,try opening the player, tools, options, select, connect to the internet.

Even with Compatibility Mode running dos based games such as games that are
said to run under Win 95 or 98 , it is very hit and miss with XP. If these
games and other older Win programs are important to you , I would suggest
running a dual boot configuration which includes Win 98 . Jym
