Can't get Address Book transferred.

Hi, Can anyone help ?
Had been using windows XP and Outlook Express as e-mail. Have lots of e-mail
addresses in my Outlook Express Address book. Have read that "Windows will
automatically convert all your contacts in the Windows Address Book to the
new Windows Contacts format when you upgrade a computer from Windows XP to
this version of Windows". .but ...can't get this to happen !!!! Can U
help... ? PLEASE.

Did you upgrade your WinXP machine to Vista?

Do you have a back-up of your (WinXP) Address Book anywhere?
