On the 16th I posted a plea for assistance. With hundreds of posts a
day, I just can't find my post or any responses. I try again?

I clicked UPDATE, got to the MS Update site, it searched for updates,
and then stated that it would take 47 minutes, for 9.5MB.

Halfway through, I checked it and all was well, so I left it for
another half hour. I returned to find the HDD grinding away, still
flashing its led, but the monitor now showed no signal at all....as if
I had simply turned it on before booting. I shut the computer off,
rebooted and restarted the download. Identical situation...no signal
on monitor, , HDD led still blinking. I left for two hours and came
back to find that it had apparently finished downloading.

But did it? How can I tell if the downloads were successful?

Thanks
