cant find modem

i have just recently installed windows2000 onto my
computer. but my computer cant find my modem anymore. how
do i get it to find my modem. under the device manager
the PCI device and PCI simple communications controller
are missing, i scanned the computer as it suggested to
fing one, but was unable to. how do i get my computer to
find my modem?

Maybe your modem isnt supported in win2k?

Install the Win2K drivers from the CD that came with the modem.
This usually forces Windows to see the device.
