Hi,
I just bought a Seagate pocket drive. Windows recognizes it and says it
found it but when I click to automatically install the software for it, it
reports it can't install it.

I just had to do a reformat of my C: drive and before that it found it right
away. I've installed all of the updates for XP SP2.
Thanks!
Sue

Usually you install the drivers for USB devices before plugging them in;
you might try that.

Joe,
you've done it again! The problem was a missing reference in my registry.
THANK YOU!
Sue
