Can't establish Remote Desktop connection to a computer out of LAN

I always used RDT connection to a computer outside our LAN. But two days ago
i failed to use RDT. I can still do it in our LAN (i can connect to any
computer).
What should i do in this situation?

what's the error message? Can you telnet port 3389?
