Can't do an XP Repair if updated to SP2

SP2 may be the cause of this problem when you boot the computer:

"operating system not found"

You can't get into the OS unless you do a full recovery.

This MAY be caused by the SP2 and we're trying to verify this.

You CAN NOT perform an XP repair after you have installed SP2.

Stop scaremongering. I've deployed SP2 to many systems (both my own and
other people's) and it's never been a problem. I don't think even MS
recognise it as a problem.

Who's "we"?!

Yes you can. In fact I have just done that very thing on my father's system
(not for the reason you're claiming though). I'm sure with all your
knowledge (as you appear to be claiming to be all knowledgeable about SP2)
I'm sure you can figure it out. There are plenty of sites that tell you
how...
