Can't delete a rule

I'm not sure what has happened but when I re-installed Off 2003 and launched
Outlook, I noticed more rules existed than I want so I was hoping to delete
some. They seem to be rules I did create a long time ago, but don't want now.
The proble is I can't.
Outlook/Tools/Rules and Alerts brings up the Rules and Alerts dlg.
The Delete choice is Greyed out and I can't delete any.

Does anyone know why? does this have to do w/profiles? I thought I was using
the same profile.

Any/all help will be much appreciated

Start Outlook from the Run command with the /cleanrules switch.
