Can't DCPromo Win2K3 server

We ran ADPrep for both the forest and the domain on one of our DC's and both
said they completed.

We are now trying to dcpromo a Windows 2003 Server and it generates the
following error

The version of the Active Directory schema of the source forest is not
compatible with the verison of Active Directory on this computer.

Any ideas?

Should we try adprep again?

Maybe you are installing Win 2k3 R2 and you have not ran the necessary
adprep from cod 2 of the R2 set?
