I'm going nuts - i have tried everythign I can think of and can't connect to
the internet.
I use windows XPpro thur a Wi-fi network at home. 2 of the 3 computers can
connect with no problem.
Mine is connected to the wi-fi network with no problem , I can access
everything on the network, except internet.
I disabled and re-enabled IE6, removed gozilla from the computer, re-entered
the IP address and still can't connect
Can someone PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASE help
thanks

Most likely, it is some security setting in some software that is blocking
something necessary for you to access the Internet. If you have your own
firewall, be sure the XP Firewall is disabled. Open Control Panel, open the
Windows Firewall and disable it if you have a separate firewall. If you
have your own firewall, check its logs for something it shows as blocked
that corresponds with when you try to access the Internet through this
machine.

Popup blockers and ad blockers can also be the source of such issues, check
to be sure your antivirus software doesn't have an option or a setting that
might be blocking something that blocks this machines access to the
Internet.

Michael,thank you for your help.
In the meantime I found the solution, by reading some more posts here.
I have to apologise to whomever found this solution, I do not remember who
you are.
The problem was a winsock file corruption which I fixed by downloading this
file

http://www.spychecker.com/program/winsockxpfix.html

it worked 1st time and sorted me out, I'm very happy now

Thanks to all
