cant connect to servers on mechwarrior 4 mercs

thanks for the info before but now i have a new problem. When i try to connect to a public sever i get the error message "cannot join the selected game. there may be networking problems or the sever may be gone." This error is not suppose to happen on windows xp according to the trouble shhoting page...I have windows xp pro. can anyone help?

Hi Mr. Elotes,

It's still most likely a firewall / home networking issue.
Follow up on the advice Chris and I posted for you.
