Can't connect to server?

Steve

I'm using FrontPage 2002 on my notebook running WinXP Pro w/ all the latest
Win and Office updates installed via the update sites. I mostly use it to
work on our companies Win2k Server/Sharepoint Team Services Site. I have
used it from home before but now when I try and connect to the site I
recieve the following message: "Documents in this folder are not available.
The folder may have been moved of deleted or network problems migh be
preventing a connection to the server. I can access the site from a web
browser, I'm asked for a user name and password. I can go into the
administration pages. I wonder what has changed? I'm sure it's something
I've changed but don't know what?

Try contacting your web host.

If you didn't change anything, it must be them.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for your post.

Since you have not changed your client configurations to access the Web
site, most of times, this issue is caused by incorrect configuration or
some problems on the server side. Sometimes, this issue can be caused by
the network connection as well.

Please check the following article for more configuration information:

304133 FP2002: Errors Appear if You Use an Office XP Program to Save Content
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=304133

- If you connect through a proxy, please also check:

289312 FP2002: Error Message When You Open Web Folder: Documents in This
Folder
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=289312

- Additionally, please check if your SharePoint team services site has been
upgraded to version 2.0. In this case, you may experience this problem if
you use FP 2000/2002 to connect.

Also, I would recommend you let the other users to connect to the Web site
directly within the network to verify the functionality. Please let me
know if this solves this issue or if you need further assistance.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Eric Shen
