I'm using a JVC DV90U, Windows XP, Firewire Cable, MM2. Everything seems to be connected properly. My computer recognizes the device, and starts the wizard for the capturing. PC controls the camera fine. But after stopping capture, get error message: "Specified video device is not responding. Verify that the device..."

What can I do to be able to capture movie from DV camera to PC? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Check out www.papajohn.org and also try a free capture utility called windv,
link at that site as well.

Checked out website...tried WINDVD...but still nothing. It does same thing as Movie Maker. It controls the camera, but I can't see anything on the preview window and doesn't capture movie into computer. It works fine using USB cable, but not using the IEEE1394 cable, which I would like to use since I already spend the money on it and I hear it's better quality.
