Can't boot Windows XP, safe mode screen freezes!

Hi,
I need help please. I can't get into windows at all. When my system
starts up, it goes directly to the safe mode screen with the usual
options. It won't start in any of them and certainly won't start
normally.

Recently, I had to use the product recovery disks because the whole
thing crapped out. At the end of the final disk, it says to let windows
restart your computer in 15 sec. Nothing happens except for a blank
screen. When I manually restart it, the safe mode window comes up, but
then freezes no matter which option I choose.

I'm not concerned about losing information, I just want to be able to
start it so maybe I can reformat the hard drive or something... Please
help! Thanks in advance.

Try your restore disks again, ensure all periferals are disconected eg usb
printers etc
