Can't backup Outlook 2000

I tried to backup Outlook but received the following message.

Cannot copy Outlook, The process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file.

I'm using Outlook 2000 SP3 and using XP Home with all the critical updates installed.

Any recommendations on what to do to backup the pst files?
