Can't copy backup

When trying to do personal folders backup I get the message:
"Cannot copy Outlook: The process cannot access the file because another
process has locked a portion of the file."

Do you have Outlook open at the time? Do you use synchronization software or
fax software or do you have antivirus scanning incoming/going email? Anything
that would interfere by holding files open?
