Hi people..

I am stumped with the problem that I'm facing. When I try to add the user
"Administrator" by:

Right Click on HKCR > Permissions... > Add

Under the "Enter the object names to select" box, I typed in:
Administrator

But, it comes up as "Name Not Found"

I've cchecked HKLM

Tried adding the "administrators" group instead?
(Ntice the "s" at the end.)

Thanks for the reply Shenan. Unfortunately, there are no entries for both
(singular or plural)

The other hives have the "Administrator" user, except for HKCR!
- The problem now is that most file associations are severed. Even running
regeidt in Normal Mode prompts for a program to open it with.

Hi,

Click add, then advanced, then "find now". Select it from the list that
appears.
