Can't add a New Printer

I had this installed my HP 750 previously and had to do a
system restore, now I can not even add a new printer in
my control panel, it says operation could not be
completed, I know that there has to be a problem, but I
have tried everything I know to do. Has anyone
encountered this same problem, and if so how did you fix

hi laura

let me ask you this did you have the printer plug in when
you did your restore. some times that can cause a hardware
confict.if you did try restoring your computer whith out
the printer plug in.after your computer restores plug your
printer in and windows should see it and ask you if you
want to install it. let me know if this work out for you
