cant access my computer

I disabled my user account now when I boot my comp. it says to click on user
to log on but there are no user names to click on..Im running windows xp.
any suggestions?

Restart your computer and tap F8 when BIOS loads, when the Windows
Advanced Options menu apears select "Start in Safe Mode." Once windows
loads in SM re-enable your user account.

You may be able to reactivate your user account using the following
utility:-
Go to http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/ and download the boot
disk, this will enable you to reset any system password on an NT class
operating system, it also unlock accounts.

I created a user account for windows and decided i didnt want it so i
disabled it. I disabled it in the "user account" file. now i cant access
windows. f8 safe mode takes me to the welcome window that asks me to click on
user name to log in but there are no user names there. I tried "start from
last known good conf." still nothing.

start computer F8 Safe mode w/command prompt only
at command prompt type: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Restore\rstrui.exe
this is systewm restore. restore to previous date.

No I did not "delete" username. I went into the user account file and right
clicked on the icon and clicked "disable". Safe mode command promt doesnt
work either. It just takes me to the welcome window.

what is file name that you are rt clikcing on and setting to disable?

When at this blank Windows logon screen, press ctrl+alt+del two to three
times.
does this bring up a logon menu?

OK I just back stepped what i did. select control panel then performance and
maintenance then admin. tools then computer management then system tools then
local users then users. I right clicked on administrator and either deleted
or disabled it. I cant remember which. ctrl+alt+del. does bring up log on box
but says wrong name or password.

Have a look at my earlier post, that linux disk will enable you to
unlock (reactivate) the account if you did not delete it.

If you did delete the account but did not choose to delete the files
create a new user with administrator priviliges then look at:-

why? that can't be the account you created!!!!!

what name(s) show up when you presss ctrl+alt+del?

i'm in cst time zone. it's 10.49. done for the day.

Yes. I tried to download the program but windows wont transfer to cd burner.
windows says files maybe corrupt and wont continue.

If you are using XP Home then get into Safe Mode, hit Ctrl-Alt-Del
three times then log in as Administrator, the password SHOULD be blank.
See if you can rescue your files from here.

I will check this thread again tomorrow morning, now I am going home.

according to his response, he deleted the "admininistrator" account!!

I can't believe Windows would allow this!!!!????
