Cannot View Thumbnail Image

HI: I am not able to view jpg files when I choose
thumbnails.
I had already tried the modifications in The article that
was previously published under Q243401 , but this did not
solve the problem.

Any idea that would solve this?

Yeah run the internet explorer repair tool. We had a few machines that had
this issue and we either repaired or reinstalled IE and it worked just fine.

Just to make sure.....

Try this too. Change one file extension from ".jpg" to ".jpe". If the
thumbnail works, then you still have something wrong in the ".jpg" registry
key.

If this is the case......
When you follow Q243401, make sure that you enter the registry modifications
correctly. (When I originally did it I make a couple of mistakes.
- ensure that you include the brackets at the beginning and end of the
registry keys.
- if you are cutting and pasting the registry keys, make sure that you DO
NOT include a period or space at the beginning or end of a key.
(these are the mistakes that I made)

If you are unsure of how the registry key should look, look that the similar
entries for ".jpeg" and ".jpe". They should appear in the registry just
before ".jpg".
