My computer won't allow me to enter windows, it boots very
quickly then says that it cannot verify windows
authenticity. What should I do? Can someone help get into
windows allowing me to save all my data? Or do I have to
re-install windows, which is what my Gateway tech told me?
I can't get past the user's screen on XP. Thank you.

If the latter is the only thing you can do, there are still ways you can get
your data. For example, you can put the disk into another PC to retrieve it.
Or you could load knoppix from a CD and as long as your file system is FAT32
(not sure if Knoppix reads NTFS) burn it to CD.

Just be glad your disk hasnt died, then your data would have been
gone...next time, take backups.
