Windows Integrated Authentication broken

I have an XP PRO SP3 system on which Integrated Authentication is broken.
When I try to access a network resource on my Windows 2003 domain the system
always asks me to supply the password. I can click the "Save Password" option
in the dialog box and that works for a while. This is a problem in
connecting with the Exchange server, file server and webserver so it is not
protocol specific. I also doublechecked that IE 7 has "Integrated
Authentication" checked. This only happens for one computer. All the others
are fine? Any ideas?

What if you set the Integrated Authentication to "off", reboot, and
then turn it back on. Maybe it just forgot the setting and needs kick
in the pants to remember.

I know how to do that for IE but how about for all of XP? I removed the PC
from the domain and then readded it but that didn't seem to work. I've
searched but can't find anything. ideas?

I was looking in the KB but didn't see anything specific to this
issues you're seeing. I would try giving this a try and also have you
XP CD handy as it will require re-installing a component. If possible,
try making or having a slipstreamed SP3 CD.

1. Control Panel > Network Connection > right-click Local Area
Connection > do a properties.
2. By default, there ought to be 4 things there: Client for MS
networks, File and Printer Sharing, QoS, and TCP/IP. Uninstall Client
for MS Networks and File & Printer Sharing
3. Reboot.
4. Repeat step 1,click Install > Client > Client for MS Networks
5. Install > Service > File and Printer Sharing
6. Reboot

My only other guess would be to take a look at three new services that
were introduced in SP3. For kicks and grins, try disabling all three
of the following services, reboot, and see what happens:

Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services
1. Disable: Extensible Authentication Protocol Service
2. Disable: Health Key and Certificate Management Service
2. Disable: Wired Autoconfig.

Let me know if it helps any.
