Cannot uninstall an application

I have XP home, I have been told by palm support to remove my palm soft ware
prior to reinstalling it.
I go to add/remove and click on change /remove and an uninstall wizard
appears and replaced by a window that is starting to uninstall for about 1-2
seconds and then the whole process stops and I can click again and the same
repeats.
How do I get around this problem? Am I on the right newsgroup?

Try installing it over itself and uninstall it afterwards.

rather than uninstalling it from add/remove go to All
Programs, go to that program, see if it has it's own
Unistall. If that was a reputable program for your palm
it should have an uninstaller. If not try reinstalling it
in hopes a file might be missing.
