Cannot Turn On Favorites Folder

Hi Team- I'm using Outlook 2007 SP1. I turned off "Favorite Folders" some
time back but want to revisit the feature. However, when I go to
View/Navigation Pane there is no option to turn on "Favorite Folders"- I only
have "Normal", "Minimize", "Off", and "Customize Current View". Any ideas on
how to restore "Favorite Folders"?

Are you in Folder list? Press Ctrl+1 to go to mail. Otherwise, the favorite
folders is just collapsed - click the down arrows at the right if the
favorite folders name to expand it.

Hi- yes, the Ctrl+1 trick worked- it put me in the Mail view, and from there
I could activate Favorites folders. Thanks!

I was hoping to basically create a customized navagation pane minus the
"Special" folders I don't care about (RSS Feeds, Search Folders, Infected,
Journal, Notes...) But I can see that folders with subfolders don't show as
an expandable list in the "Favorites Folder". IOW, I put my Inbox in the
Fave Folders, and although I have many folders subfolders to the inbox, none
of them show in Favorite Folders.

I guess I'm stuck. I don't see why MS cannot allow me to do simple and
obvious customization like removing unneeded "Special" folders (Notes,
Journel, etc.) from the navagation pane. I guess they know better than I do
what I need to see and parse my eyes over repeatedly.

Thanks for your help!
