I always got notifications in my hotmail in box. I recently asked if I wanted
alerts for $49 per year. I clicked no. Since then I see the notification as
usual but when I click on it it does not open in the newsgroup as before.
Is there some way I can repair this w/o changing the way I use hotmail. I
prefer not to get involved with different interfaces if possible.

Go to the Hotmail site, and sign out. Sign out of the Newsgroup page. Delete
the files in the Internet cache (IE, tools menu, 'delete browsing history',
'delete files' button) Remove the cookie named
'cookie:[email protected]' from the IE cache. Try to go back on the
hotnail site, and if available, click the 'forget me' link. Do not log onto
hotmail. Go to the newsgroup site, and open your profile(icon on the top at
the right) Sign on, but tell it to not rememmber you. Try the notification
link.
