cannot receive emails (error msg ox8ooCCCoF)

My email seems to be stuck. I receive the same 6 msgs and
then the connection ends suddenly and I get the following
msg
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.
Possible causes for this include server problems, network
problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'AT&T
Global network client mail', Server: 'pop1.attglobal.net',
protocol: POP3, Server response:'+OK',Port: 110, Secure
(SSL: No, Error Number ox8xxCCCoF

I know there is alot of mail backed up since this happen 2
days ago. I need help please
