Cannot read CDs

Hi all,
A CD player that has never had a problem, suddenly cannot
read CDs. Windows sees the drive as available but cannot
read any CD inserted. Do I just have a broken CD player or
could it be something else?

Any comment are appreciated.

Boot to Safe Mode and try to read a CD. If it fails, you may have a failed
drive.
