Cannot re-install Linksys ethernet card in winxp pro sp2

I have a Linksys NC100u pci ethernet controller card that i discovered
partially crept out of it's mo/bo slot, i reseated it and when i powered the
sys back up i got a found new hardware wizard for that card. i cannot get
the drivers to reinstall, win does not find them (it installed fine when i
initially installed it about a year ago), and since it's a cheap piece of
shyt the install floppy doesnt have drivers for xp - only up to nt4.0 - the
manual for the card seems to imply that with xp, the drivers should be
included in xp already. Now, since the card wasn't actually uninstalled
before being 'reinstalled' when i reseated it, could that be blocking the
driver install, and how do i fix it? thank you loads for any help

Check the remove hardware wizard and tick show hidden devices, see if the
device is shown, so you can uninstall
